Power is not everything

Try to play aggressive and power, but deny control. It may worked against some guys but not for another. Against MN 3-3 draw(attack all out- attack serve from bh and fh, fast serve: work well).
Against AN(0-4): He played very controlled looping game and attack when chance arise from good setup. My power play did not work. He outplayed me in many aspects.
Serve -create pop up or bad return from me.
serve return- fh push to my bh , hard to attack and end up hitting net
- attack my short no spin ball to his fh.
- my fast serve to his body is his weakness that I could attack.
3rd ball attack- spinny high arc loop to my bh. I better stay close to table.
counter looping- he can counter my attack far from table with spinny sidespin. I have advantage in this area if I can control my looping.

From last night game, I concluded that spin is not my strength. My strength come from fast stroke/serve followed by fast attack. However this method is very risky because I also open to opponent attack. I did not feel good because I can not develop other technics beside hit/smash.
I need more control, anticipation, placement, spin variation to be more consistence player.

Agressive Play

Last monday I practiced matches with 3 members club. Lost all to them.
Pok L (1-3)
Shortpip used make ball heavier. Easy for him to take my serves so less pop up for my points. Should take ball little bit late when dealing with this pip ball like playing with long pip(did work last time). He is more aggresive than me. Lack of aggressiveness is the key to my lost. Record with him now even (2-2)

mjkr(2-3)
Normally I beat this guy, but he was more aggressive this time. Control/def game did not work . Need more attacking game.

Norab(2-4)
retriever/lobber player. Hard to kill the high balls mixed with sidespin/bspin or topspin. This guy can return smash/hit very well. His weakness: fast sidespin serves to body and fh and ready to attack the return.

Xiom Vega Pro(max)

Got new rubber vega pro and used it for backhand. So far it is the best bh rubber for me. I can put more balls on table compared to tenergy. However tenergy has more bite and spin on opening bh loops. Block, punch and counter is faster using this rubber compared to palio macro era. My backhand is more dangerous than before.

Practice match with club member(better player) become more competitive. I also won some matches against them. Two player that i still cannot beat are our no.1 in club and a retriever/lobber.
