Last weekend play at Mahkota Aman, Bt 11 for a friendly game. Overall our club won the games but I myself still loosed. I played 3 guys in single and won only one of them. There I found variety of game styles that I never play before. These added my experience in table tennis and hope will help to improve my game.
First guy I faced served like kenta -I had trouble taking his serve and created many pop up. His chop to my fh were very heavy that many of my loops went to the net. I end up with 1-3 loss. My weakness here are serve return of kenta style and looping backspin.
Second game was with pimple guy(zainal). The games were very close but I lost 1-3. I found his weakness on topspin serve return in the middle but it was too late for the comeback. The good thing play with pimple opponent is I have opportunity to attack. However the downside is hard to take his wobbly ball.
Third game was the tough one. He is a pure hitter. My serve, serve return and bad drive got hit badly. It look like I will loose easily. Down 0-2 I change strategy by playing mid distance and loop his serves and gave spinny drives. It worked great when he began to misses his hits. By the end I took the last three game and won 3-2.
Here are my findings after the games:
1. Need to improve on serve return
2. Still weak in bh
3. Fh looping rarely applied, more of hits/smash.
4. Short game not so good.

Short Game
With T05 on my fh, I need to master short game play. So far I tend to stay away from table but with this rubber it is no good for that. Besides short game has more chances of attack which is hard to do when you are away from table. Played with matnor and hazlee, it is hard to get 3rd ball attack. Maybe it my serves. Sometimes they can attack my serves when it not done well. They played placing game that make me hard to attack. Another problem is I rarely use my fh for looping that I need for consistency and stay in attacking mode.

Goodbye Sriver G2
After 8 months of using Sriver G2- I changed it to Sriver G2Fx with Mie JKR. The reason is to be more of a looper style by let go the rubber. The rubber is not very good for spin purposes. I'm not sure whether the rubber effect my style or it just me who tend to hits every ball. Here are my findings after using the rubber:
1. Change my style from close to table hitter/blocker to away from table retriever/blocker.
2. Good as fh rubber only. On bh it is hard to control.
3. Very fast, good control, good for drive away from table.
4. Can attack long serve easily.
5. Can loop underspin ball.
6. Not very spinnny.
7. Fast serve and need jerk to produce good spin- got many points from that.
8. Hard to counterloop.
My setup now is To5/G2Fx. This setup more likely to be close to table attacker.
